Heartbreak Prevention Survival Guide: Valentine's Day
If you love it or hate it you still know the date; February 14--Valentine’s Day. A day of love, cupid, happiness, candy, flowers. It can, however, also can be a day of hurt feelings, drama, and broken hearts. Here is a little list to help you through the big day.
If you are single:

DON'T worry about your single status.
DO love yourself and go pamper yourself with a massage or pedicure.
DON'T throw stones at others who are celebrating.
DO tell your friends how happy you are for them and their relationship.
DON'T think sadly about your ex or send him a text.
DO remind yourself why he is your ex.
DON'T send yourself Valentine's presents in order to make people think you are not single this year.
DO actually feel and show your happiness for others when they get gifts.
DON'T go on a first date on Valentine's Day.
DO wait a week to take the pressure off.
A first date on Valentine's Day sets the relationship bar WAY high;
DON'T put that much stress on yourself!
For all the lovely couples:

DON'T bring up the “where is the relationship” conversation.
DO enjoy an evening together filled with love.
DON'T discuss commitment or marriage just because of the date.
DO appreciate what you have now and live in the moment
DON'T talk or text on your phone while at dinner.
DO compliment him on what he’s wearing and how wonderful he looks.
DON'T compare your love to the amount of presents or the money he spends.
DO make your Valentine’s present instead of just buying all of them.
DON'T start an argument over something small.
DO tell your love one that you love them and care for them and you do appreciate them.
Don’t forget that Valentine's day doesn't have to just come once a year; keep the romance going all year long.
