Break the new decade in with style
There was peace and love in the sixties, we grooved through seventies, had greed and drugs in the eighties, prosperity in the nineties, and for the last 10 years we have had a disaster after disaster. Terrorists, war, hurricanes, shootings, kidnappings and the Great Recession.
As tough as it has been, we’re still alive and we’re starting to rebound. Let me be among the first to proclaim 2010 as the dawn of a new era; the beginning of the decade of change—not to be confused with any political slogans, but just to say that we are turning from our current direction and headed down a new path.
I am not one for New Year’s resolutions, but the economy is about to turn and with a little forethought and a few adjustments, we can begin our ascent to the top.
Recession Repression
Two of the biggest scars that have blemished Americans during the past few years are debt and unemployment. Debt as a result of cutbacks in wages, furloughs, reduced hours, or unemployment. Unemployment is rising as a result of businesses struggling

because people are purchasing less with their reduced wages. A vicious cycle that two presidents tried to solve by throwing money at the companies let people go and reduced our wages; the details of which are fodder for another article.
